A little of Carver's advice to his Casanova Wannabe audience isn't actually that bad - "believe in yourself and don't be afraid to take some risks," in particular, is a pretty good starting point for being more socially successful. Where he fails is in claiming that his program is not just guaranteed to work, but guaranteed to work for any man on any woman.
