- Broken Base:
- Over whether the band are still as good as they've gotten louder and added texture to their music.
- The Rock The Garden 2013 set, made up of one long, droning rendition of "Do You Know How To Waltz?" split the base like a guillotine.
- Ending Fatigue: "Born By The Wires" from the Songs For A Dead Pilot EP. The song ends with several minutes of a single chord being strummed every several seconds. It'll either hypnotize you or drive you bonkers.
- Funny Moments:
- The cover of "Open Arms" by Journey. Alan intentionally singing it as wimpy and frail as possible. He actually cracks up on the second chorus. Priceless.
- "Plastic Cup" is about a drug addict having to piss into the titular cup... which is then dug up a thousand years later by archeologists who speculate that it used to belong to a mythical king.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Many of their songs, especially those on HEY WHAT have took on a newer meaning after the band's permanent disbandment after Mimi's untimely passing.
- I Am the Band: Most people who know the band know Alan and Mimi. The bass player is less known since, well, the spot has passed through several hands over the years.
- Tear Jerker: A lot of their albums and songs, but "Sunflower", "Lullaby", "Sunshine" (a cover of "You Are My Sunshine") and "Violence" especially stick out.
