• Angst? What Angst?:
  • The cat soul that The Reaper assigns to the Black Cat doesn't seem too distraught about dying, going so far as to interpret it as an "eternity to chase butterflies".
  • Zeus from "Soon" goes out with a smile, and doesn't seem too concerned about his death till the sequel, where he sees his owner mourn him. This causes him to come to the realization that "Besides Kathy, this family wasn't very good to [him]"
• Anvilicious: The comic is rather unflinching in its depiction of themes such as animal abuse, neglect, cruelty, and environmental destruction. The author even appends strips with a brief explanation of the context behind it.
• Funny Moments: Even a webcomic as serious and tear jerking as this has enough for a page.
• The Woobie: Most of the animals the Reaper comes across are this, as they are usually victims of abuse and neglect.
