YMMV / Love, Death & Robots: "The Secret War"

• Cant Unhear It: Stefan Kapicic voices Zakharov in this short. He also voices Colossus in the Deadpool Duology, and the accent is identical.
• Friendly Fandoms: With Delta Green players. It reached the point of being a go-to example of what to even expect from the game.
• It's Short, So It Sucks!: That despite this being one of the longer shorts in the anthology. There are a lot of scenes that just cut abruptly to another or Fade Out, making certain moments choppy. This is especially notable with the very final scene, which cuts off so abruptly it almost gives the impression of a rush job.
• Narm: To summon the ghouls into this reality the cultists killed a woman, stripped her naked and tore out her uterus. This sounds horrific but we're introduced to her butt first, which makes it look like either some bizarre fanservice or pure shock value, especially since the short is otherwise completely devoid of nudity.
• Spiritual Adaptation:
  • Can be an adaptation of the backstory of the Resistance series. Both feature Russia in a secret war against an unknown threat (supernatural ghouls in the short, aliens in the games) during the 20th century. The difference here is that the Soviet Union successfully contains the threat, while the Russian Empire in the game is completely overrun by the Chimeras.
  • Or more straightforward case for Delta Green: a small group of soldiers against localized Demonic Invaders, acting as if it was business as usual.
