YMMV / Lo que callamos las mujeres

  • Catharsis Factor: There are several episodes where the comeuppance of the antagonist is just good to see.
    • In "Tú No Vales Nada", when Manuel attempts to make feel Tamara bad again, Tamara asks her new-to-be-girlfriend if she loves him. She answers that she doesn't, she only wants his money and no woman would be with him, making Manuel angry, then she in a mischievous tone tells Manuel to sign her ex-wife Tamara's paper or he'll go to jail.
    • In "La Más Débil Del Mundo", Pepa receives her comeuppance when she's shunned and bullied by her classmates, when she tries to call this to her parents, they decide to do nothing and instead they take away every privilege she had and tell her she'll go to jail and take therapy for pushing Lorena from the stairs.
    • In "Somos Todos Iguales", everybody sides with Sergio, making Ernesto to cry and decide to go from home. Later at a bar he starts trash-talking about his family, specially Sergio for being gay, the barman has none of this and chastises him for being an abusive father and talking bad about his son.
    • In "Atención Al Cliente", Saúl gives Joaquín his mom's abusive boss a kick in the balls, when he starts mistreating his mother. This is even lampshaded by everybody in the company, saying that Saúl is awesome for that.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • The barman from "Somos Todos Iguales", Despite appearing in a few scenes, gets a lot of praise by many people for his anti-sexist behavior and for giving Ernesto a verbal smackdown for his homophobic, abusive ways.
    • Lorena from "Selfie", receives a lot of praise for slaping her daughter Sofía when she starts to trash talk about her and unlike other parents with bratty children from these kind of telenovelas, she actually tries to be a good parent, she actually tries to disciplinate her and doesn't cather to Sofia's every whim.
    • Rafael, brother of Laura from "Mujer de su casa" is liked by most people due to him supporting his sister and for opposing to his family's Stay in the Kitchen policy.
  • Jerks Are Worse Than Villains:
    • Etelvina from "Educacion Especial" has her reasons to be likable. Ramiro's father on the other hand, he only exists to bully Ramiro for being less manly and even sending a woman to rape him to man him up, traumatizing him as a result. He even got scot-free for his actions. Unless you count her wife kicking out of his home.
  • Love to Hate: Exist certain antagonists from the series that become entertaining to watch. Examples include:
    • Etelvina from "Educación Especial" is a good example. Yeah, she's a sadist teacher that raped, brainwashed and kidnapped her student Ramiro, but you're not going to lie, her performance is just awesome and let's not begin with her right eyebrow and the deigned faces she puts through the episode. It also helps she's a sexy woman.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
    • Miguel, the rich kid from "Selfie" crosses it, in the very moment he convinces Sofía to have sex with him in trade of a cellphone. He crosses it further when he humilliates Sofía in the school in that he'll only give her the cellphone if she behaves like a dog, including barking. He does it again when he humilliates her again, forcing her to shout in public that she had sex with him and his friends, the throws the cellphone in the garbage. The worse part is that Sofía could had avoided this if she gave him back the cellphone and every gift he gave to her, but instead she decided to do it, due dependence in her cellphone.
  • The Scrappy:
  • Squick: In "Te Lo Comes Todo", during a quarrel between Emilia and her mother Astrid, the latter throws an enchilada to the garbage bin, after the quarell a sad Emilia goes to her kitchen and grabs the garbage bin and starts eating the enchilada that her mom threw there! It's a strange combo between a sad scene and a gross scene.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Cecilia from "Victima and victimaria" gets heavily hit with this. Despite suffering her husband's abuse, all of this is somewhat undermined by some watchers due to her hurtful outbursts towards Toñito due to stress.
    • Lorena from "La arrimada" (Both versions) as well. Despite suffering the loss of her unborn child and parents, and her deteriorating marriage with Carlos, who resorts to emotional abuse, she borders into this trope due to her self-righteous attitude and tendency to blame others for things that either aren't their fault or have little control of have made many people to stop feeling sorry for her. When said losses happened, she places the blame on her younger sister, Silvia, demonizing her and harshly scolding her, even for the smallest things. She refuses to listen to reason. Even going as far as to take her newborn daughter from her.
  • The Woobie: Exists certain characters that make you feel bad for them.
    • Sergio from "Somos Todos Iguales"
    • Julieta from "Aulas Seguras"
    • Perla from "Ella O Él"
    • Emilia from "Te Lo Comes Todo"
    • Ramiro from "Eduación Especial"
    • Olivia from "Gritos Desde El Encierro"
    • Jaimito from "Por Nuestros Hijos"
    • Paty from "A Pesar De La Vida"
    • Kevin from "Tu Hijo, Mi Hijo"
    • Tamara from "Tu No Vales Nada"
