- Fridge Logic: It is odd to have Josh talking about having a board displaying his past achievements in playing soccer, then give Blythe a board displaying what she thought were failures until he said he liked them. Then again, having Josh's approval may be enough for Blythe to not be as harsh on herself as she was before.
- Idiot Ball: Russell makes a lot of odd leaps of logic and jumping to conclusions in this episode when he is normally the calm, rational one, and only really becomes unhinged if other people and/or pets disrespect him (like with "Russell Up Some Fun") or if clearly illogical things are happening around him that he cannot explain (like with "In the Loop").
