Note: Unless otherwise specified, all tropes pertain to the characters, not the content creators that play them.

  • Accidental Innuendo:
    • Early in the series, Cleo asks Scar what scam he's planning this time, and he immediately tries to sell her some "magical wood in [his] pocket".
    • On Day 6, Skizz gets chased by the Clockers, leading to this exchange:
Skizz: All four, the whole family's attacking me!
      Tango: Yeah?
      Skizz: The whole family!
      Tango: Well, attack 'em back!
Skizz: I can't beat off four people!
      (Both break down laughing)
Etho follows it up by telling Skizz to watch his language.
    • Also on Day 6, "Pearl" claims that her voice changed because one of the Nosy Neighbors' frog mascots jumped down her throat. Trying to be courteous to Big B, she then asks:
"Pearl": Have you had any frogs enter you, in any ways?
Big B: Uh… (restrains a laugh) no, uh, none at all.
  • Crosses the Line Twice:
    • On Day 2, Pearl asks Martyn for Tilly, Pearl's beloved dog from the previous season who Martyn had accidentally killed. Martyn provides her gunpowder, saying he "cremated her".
    • On Day 7, after holding a funeral for their fallen fellow Bad Boy, Grian says that Jimmy's a Bad Boy "in the sky now", to which Joel comments that if he were put in the sky, he'd fall out of it. For context, Jimmy's final death in the season was caused by him falling off of Skynet.
  • Fan Nickname: To avoid confusion with Last Life (LLSMP), the initialism tag for Limited Life is usually "LiLSMP" or "LimLSMP", or "24LSMP" to represent how 24 hours to live translates to approximately 24 lives.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: At the end of Limited Life, Etho says he wouldn't want a second try with Cleo. Come Secret Life and the two are allies, with Cleo even proclaiming on Day 1 that she's marrying Etho.
  • One True Threesome: Poly Bad Boys/Smallidarian (SmallishBeans, Solidarity, and Grian) come from the Bad Boys alliance in Limited Life. Bizarrely, cc!Jimmy has a post-canon sponsored YouTube short supporting this.
  • Portmanteau Couple Name: The most popular alternative to the 'Mean Gills' (Scott and Martyn) is "Majorwood", which is based on their screen-names (and by extension, their real-life surnames), but also alludes to… the Greater MCYT fandom's (and their affiliated creators') particular sense of humour. "Scottyn" is used by other parts of the fandom as a safe-for-work alternative.
