YMMV / Lilo & Stitch: The Series S1 E30 "Angel"

Go To

  • Ass Pull: The two Plot Holes mentioned in the main page.
    • Lilo only finds out Angel is working for Hämsterviel because of a tag she saw around her neck on the video Pleakley took. Angel never wore the tag any other time.
    • The spaceship hidden under Waialeale is a (literally) huge one. It has never been explained how Gantu managed to gain an entire spaceship and bury it underneath a mountain that's considered a landmark for Kauaʻi, nor why he needed to use that to transport experiments when he has a working teleporter on his own ship, which a later episode ("Woops") showed that he (and Hämsterviel from his cell) can teleport multiple experiments at once.
  • Broken Base: "Angel" was/is one of the most popular episodes of The Series, with many fans, who found Angel and her relationship with Stitch to be adorable, voting it as their most favorite episode of The Series's first season (according to an online poll from Disney Channel) and later overall (according to a Toon Disney marathon on June 26, 2006, that served as a lead-up to that channel's first airing of Leroy & Stitchnote  that night). Of course, the episode's title character herself would become one of the most popular characters of the franchise and is considered the Breakout Character of the experiments. However, this episode was/is actually very polarizing, with a number of Lilo & Stitch fans not liking the episode's plot about Stitch falling in Love at First Sight with a Distaff Counterpart of himself or even the fact that Jumba apparently made a female version of Stitch before Stitch himself came along. They also call out a number of Plot Holes in reviews like the one mentioned in Ass Pull above or the fact that Stitch doesn't try to go after Gantu to get Angel back after Gantu runs off with her at the end of the episode.note
