  • Broken Base:
    • 6 stud-wise or 8 stud-wide scaling. Is the transition to 8 stud-wide a great way to allow for greater real-world accuracy in the sets and a great move by LEGO? Or was it a nice, but unnecessary change as the 6 stud wide vehicles fit better into more modular minifigure-scale dioramas, and the newer scale is disproportionate compared to minifigs and other existing 6 stud wide vehicles build?
    • The heavy reliance of stickers required for the builds. Was it an undesirable part of the builds and a bad decision from LEGO because they don't last, can be difficult to align, and seem lazy? Or was it a necessary compromise of the build to keep the pricing of the sets affordable because printing every single part that required decoration is costly and would reduce the usefulness of the parts for custom builds?
  • Just Here for Godzilla: The polarizing opinions that the 2-pack releases had gotten by fans can be contributed to how certain vehicle builds are more desirable than the other vehicles in the same set, and some fans only buy the bigger sets due to how those sets usually contain some of the most unique, desirable vehicle choices of the line (Such as the 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally, Ford GT Heritage Edition, and Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO).
  • Spiritual Successor: To the 2001 to 2001 LEGO Racers line, which featured a mix of licensed cars and original designs.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some AFOLs that are a fan of the 6 stud-wide formats of cars has mixed opinions the newer 8 stud-wide formats, and think that while the newer 8 stud-wide builds allow for greater real-life accuracy and better proportions, the new scale also came at the cost of much higher price tag, and scale-wise incompatible with the older 6-stud builds and most existing Modular Lego city diorama.
