• Ass Pull: The show barely makes any effort to have the reveal of Hank's plan make any sense with his previous behavior. The producers have openly acknowledged that the season's first half was made with the intention of him indeed being evil and fully in league with Neron.
• Ho Yay: Nate and Ray reaffirm their bromance, saying they love each other. After Sara gives Nate a peck on the cheek, Ray does the same, with Nate reciprocating. It takes them a second to realise that they did it.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The audience is obviously supposed to view Hank as redeemed after his real plan is revealed...except that torturing magical creatures to make them docile enough to pose in an amusement park is still pretty screwed up! At best, he's Obliviously Evil with a What Measure Is a Non-Human? mentality, as his actions dip into Slavery Is a Special Kind of Evil.
