• Arc Fatigue: Junkbox in Otherworld Gladiators. Because his invasion was being saved for the finale, him trying to alter situations behind the scenes went on a bit longer than expected.
  • This pretty much happens anytime someone go silent for a little bit or just takes a long time to get the fight up. One of the worst examples was from SILIKON semi finals where the battles took almost a month
    • Realistically speaking the threads actually take only up to six days at the most.
• Angst? What Angst?: Averted with some characters like Ricecake, and Katalxi, but played straight with others. Even the good characters seem to have little qualms about killing typically.
  • To be fair, in most cases the characters had voluntarily chosen to enter the contest, so it would strange for them to then have a problem with killing. Perhaps a truly good character would never enter in the first place.
• Author Avatar: Arguably Xion had strong elements of this, sharing his age and his name with the handle of his player.
• Badass Decay: Due to the nature of the voting system this can happen to anybody. Notably this happened to Max Kennedy the pinnacle of an action star who before the match destroyed an army of dinosaurs, nazis, and demons... And was then the first one to die to a fisherman dinosaur.
• Never Live It Down: Subervted with Max Kennedy. Who pretends to be drowning his sorrows in a bar after he lost his first match against Rip before a naked Arnold Schwarzenegger teleports in the bathroom and ask for help to stop evil doers.
