- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Strahd Von Zarovich is such an impressive villain that it seems a shame that he only shows up for a single fight with the protagonists.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The protagonists end up in Ravenloft in Shadow of the Vampire but they only stay there for a couple of issues and have a brief encounter with Strahd. Many readers wished they'd had a full adaptation of Curse of Strahd.
