  • Complete Monster: Orlando/Ormand/Ormond LeFey is an evil businessman who wants to Take Over the World with an army of interdimensional creatures. By tricking art thief Charles "Charlie" Deckard into opening Pandora's Box, he ends up opening a portal that allows various creatures to invade and start an apocalypse. Uncaring for the millions of lives lost, LeFey plans to use the Box to lure the creatures to New York, where he will use them to conquer what's left of the world.
  • Goddamn Bats: The Nari and the Blood Spiders.
  • Nightmare Fuel: The first part of the game manages to convey the general panic of the sudden appearance of monsters pretty well. After Pandora's box is activated, an earthquake shakes the museum, with several people buried in the rubble. Just as Deckard comes out, a shockwave sends people and cars floating and then back down, then griffons appear and start plucking them. Like it wasn't bad already, a Golem forms before the player's eyes, tears down a building like nothing, and in said building you can find the message of a kid to his father, from a school attacked by Firedrakes. When you return to New York a few days later, the city is in such ruin it looks like years have passed, and the presence of fires in barrels next to mangled corpses is a sign that a lot of people tried to survive before being killed. And the same scenario has probably happened in every major city of the world.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The premise of using modern weapons against mythical monsters certainly seems like it would make for an interesting first-person shooter. Unfortunately, the game doesn't have a large variety of monsters and introduces the Black Order as generic human enemies very quickly. It also doesn't help that, as many reviews noted, the game's weapons are uninspired and unsatisfying to use.
