• Harsher in Hindsight: The January 2022 issue focuses on the funeral of Commissioner Gordon. Towards the end of that same year, Kevin Conroy would pass away too and make both the narration and Bruce Wayne's final words in the issue all the more emotional.
  Gordon: Traditions come to an end, but nothing lasts forever. It's not about immortality. It's about the legacies we leave, and the way they are chronicled. It's about the times when you strike out, but you still went to bat anyway. It's about taking life into your own hands, and striving for the best. And if you can be Batman.....be Batman.
  Bruce: No more new years. No more adventures. Goodbye, old friend.
