- Funny Moments: It is a Dramedy, after all.
- How everyone scrambles to get in on CM-5's selfie in the beginning. This is ruined by a chorus member making fun of The Girl, though.
- As dark as it is, when everyone yells out "Oh no! #roadkill!!" after CM-7's cat gets hit by a car is pretty funny just by the amount of Mood Whiplash going on.
- Grammar's rants about how everyone on the internet gets your and you're or their, there, and they're confused.
Grammar: First off, you have spellcheck. Use it! Second, if you write "your" — y-o-u-r — "ugly", then you're — y-o-u-apostrophe-r-e stupid! - Heartwarming Moments:
- The Girl's initial view of the internet. She was a shy and quiet child, not even talking to her parents. But she found solace in the internet. She felt powerful and in-control for the first time. Of course, this safety was dashed soon after.
- The Girl's ending: she's saved from committing suicide.
(THE GIRL falls from the platform into the arms of several CHORUS members.)ENSEMBLE: STOP!(They catch her, cradle her.)CM-1, 4 & 10: Respect your future self...CHORUS: We...CM-2, 7 & 9: Stick around.CHORUS: You...ENSEMBLE: Stay.CM-3, 6 & 8: See who you might become.(The CHORUS carefully stands THE GIRL back up on the platform.) - Tear Jerker:
- Joe's monologue in his room. His explanation of his lost creativity and the lack of metaphorical and literal comfort in his room is pretty profound.
Joe: Shit, there wasn't no comfort in that house.- The Girl being bullied. Just how vicious the bullies are to such an innocent person is heartbreaking.
- CM-10's moment in the spotlight. They explain just how much the constant bullying as one of the "weird kids" affected them. It ends with those bullies mocking her for crying.
- The heartbreaking juxtaposition of Joe's auntie/uncle worrying about him while Joe has his situation in the interrogation, and The Reveal afterwards that he was shot and killed following that interrogation.
- Also of note is all of the characters stepping up and pretending they were friends with Joe after his death, even when they were likely the ones bullying him.
Joe: My name is Joe Thomas, and I'm 17 years old. I would like to call my mom, please.- Briana and The Girl sharing their description of her attempted suicide as the chorus eggs her on is gutwrenching as you know what's going to happen. Until you don't!
- The cacophony of interweaving voices all talking about thematic struggles until they finally come together for the final line of the show:
CHORUS: All I wanted was to get your attention.
