• Ensemble Dark Horse: Chisato Souma, Saki's best friend has become one for a number of readers from the comments for each chapter. Mostly for the fact that she is often hilarious in her interactions with Saki and Hisao. Along with the fact she is very open about her Type One Diabetes as well that helps to give her some depth.
• Epileptic Trees: Noriko has been subjected to this by one or two reader's, whom like Misha have spectated on her reasons for attending Yamaku despite her having no visible disability herself. Word of God clarified that Noriko has no Disabilities and that she just attend Yamaku because of their Fanon that anyone can attend Yamaku.
• It Was His Sled: Inverted, since Saki having spinocerebellar ataxia is the only major thing about her in the established canon of Katawa Shoujo due to being an April Fools' Day character. As such, you're likely going into this fanfic knowing about that, especially since it's the core inspiration for why the author decided to make a story about her in the first place.
• Tear Jerker: Saki has one or two of these moments. First one when her leg gives out and she collapses just outside the school and she falls into tears.
  • Another moment is when she breaks down over explaining to Hisao that she has SCA and that she has one of the worst types of it.
  • Another moment is when she explains to Hisao about how her family started to view her after her diagnosis, culminating in her young cousin refusing to help her when she fell and her cutting her wrists soon after.
• Wheelchair Woobie: Saki, when she is forced into having to use one in Ask Me No Questions after the incident mentioned in Tearjerkers.
