• Heartwarming Moment: The end of the episode. Stabler owns up to his mistake of letting his feelings about his daughter color how he viewed the case. You would expect Cragen to chastise him for it, but instead, Cragen tells Stabler it's okay that his feelings are part of his police work. Rather, it's impossible for them not to be, and it's more worrisome if he doesn't feel something.
• Moment of Awesome: Olivia deserves mention for not immediately being on Virgina's side. The first episode establishes cases of rape are a hot button for her because she was conceived via rape, and she got a woman who murdered her abuser a light sentence because of it. Here, Olivia sees right through Virgina's act and it's Stabler who refuses to believe Virgina could be the killer solely because she's a teenager (which Olivia calls him out for).
• Retroactive Recognition: Lynn Collins appears as a Sympathetic Murderer years before her appearances in True Blood and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
