• Archive Panic: It has 286 episodes as of 2022, though thankfully the episodes are short, at 3-4 minutes long.
• Designated Villain: Red has fallen into these categories as the series goes by. While he may be a total Jerkass in several episodes, more times than not his Laser-Guided Karma can be seen as overkill to many people. Not to mention the many episodes where Red would be the only character suffer constantly throughout while the other characters (most often Yellow) would never suffer and played to be some sort of an Idiot Houdini or at worst a Karma Houdini. It doesn't make it any better than episodes such as "The Life of Larva" which shows that he clearly isn't very happy.
  • Other characters such as Grey are more of a Jerkass Woobie than Red due to how much of an Ineffectual Sympathetic Villain he is.
• Growing the Beard: Season 4 to 5's Larva Island, the show went from being a surreal and flawed if harmless, repetitious, and slapstick-filled kids' show, and became more story-driven and has shown how much the series had made a major improvement as its last airing more than the previous 3 seasons did.
• Memetic Mutation: "Oi oi oi"^ExplanationAn image of a smug-looking Red accompanied by Katsuki Bakugo's song "Oi Oi Oi by Bokugou" became popular on the internet in 2023.
• The Woobie: Both Red and Yellow share this trope (mainly in the first three seasons, later episodes would zig zag this trope or avert them as the lucky ones). Other characters such as Chuck qualify.
