Original novels

  • Complete Monster:
    • La Cyclope (The Cyclops): Steffan von Trotta was a young Dutch man who willingly joined the Nazis during World War II and took part in war crimes. Rewarded with the command of a prisoner camp, Steffan imprisoned the 15-year-old Olenka in his basement, tortured and repeatedly raped her into submission even inviting other people to have their way with her. When Germany lost the war, Steffan meticulously planned his escape by switching places with the British soldier Benedict Killian after torturing the latter for months and killing his eight companions before having Olenka mauled by a dog. Successfully usurping Benedict Kilian's identity, Steffan then married Stefanie Vaughn, ruthlessly abused her, and got her addicted to heroin to keep her under his thumb. Blackmailed by Winch executive Joop van Dreema into working for the heroin cartel, Steffan sends a hitman to kill two police officers and frame Largo Winch before stabbing the hitman in the throat. When about to be exposed for his crimes, von Trotta then plans to kill the Cyclops' men and torture the Cyclops herself to steal her deposit of heroin.
    • La Forteresse de Makiling (Fort Makiling) & Les Révoltés de Zamboanga (The Revolted Men of Zamboanga): Colonel Angel Ortega is a Filipino military leader under the dictatorship of President Ferdinand Marcos. Seeking to restart the hostilities with the Moro community, Ortega orchestrates a series of massacres by sending the Cyclops and her men after eight boat crews and framing the Moro rebels for those crimes. Ortega also imprisons Simon Ben Chaims and nine innocent Moro civilians and tortures them at length, coldly killing two of them in the process, to make them admit their culpability before pulling the string to have them sentenced to be hanged. Ortega also drives pilot Freddy Kaplan into submission after locking him up in a dark cell for eight months and sends assassins after Largo Winch and Massar Mannakan. Ortega attempts to ambush American colonel Trevor Daniel and, when this fails, kills three of his own men and accomplice Henry Anderson to stage an assault from the Moro rebels. Afterward, Ortega massacres the Cyclops and her eleven pirates, tortures Simon's girlfriend Marjan, and plans to lead the bomber planes to annihilate the Moro villages of Zamboanga before killing President Marcos to seize power over the country.

The Comics:

  • Adaptation Displacement: The comic is significantly more popular than the book series. In fact, the films and the tv show credit the comics.
  • Complete Monster (Golden Gate & Shadow):
    • Don Candido Panatella, the head of Candid films, secretly runs the largest prostitution ring in Nevada. Forcing young women into prostitution and hardcore pornography while threatening their lives, he physically punishes them should they fail to make enough money. He sequesters Winch employee Sarah Washington in his basement, intending her to be sold to his network, and has her tortured by hungry rats. He arranges the fall of Largo Winch by having the billionaire framed for the abduction and rape of a minor. Panatella later has his accomplices Earl and Grace Quinn assassinated before ordering the death of Simon Ovronaz and the runaway Juliet.
    • Flor de la Cruz is Panatella's depraved assistant in charge of directing the snuff films in which the girls who snitch or try to escape are tortured to death. She intends to have Juliet executed in her next movie should their plan fail and after ambushing Largo Winch, she buries the man to his neck in the desert, condemning him to slowly die from the heat and being devoured by red ants. Finally, Flor de la Cruz prepares to murder Sarah Washington on camera gleefully announcing her intention of gang-raping her before branding and mutilating her.
  • The Problem with Licensed Games: Largo Winch received two tie-in video games, Largo Winch: Commando Sar, and Largo Winch: Empire Under Threat, both came out in 2002. Unfortunately, neither game is particularly good. Commando Sar suffers from a complete lack of suspense, an unengaging story, bad voice acting, awful controls, very sluggish movement, broken combat and lackluster gameplay. Empire Under Threat suffers from the exact same problems too and does little to improve on them.

The films:

  • Complete Monster (Largo Winch II): General Kyaw Min is a Burmese military leader who oppresses the Karen people. Bribed by Winch Group executive Thomas Ajung, Min leads the massacre of the village of Kay Pu, having its inhabitants slaughtered, raped, and deported before killing Ajung who was unable to keep his end of the bargain. Joining a conspiracy aiming to frame Largo Winch for his own war crimes, Min compels Malunai to testify against the billionaire while keeping her young son Noom hostage, and later brutalizes the woman when she rejects his advances. Pointing his gun at Noom, Min orders Largo to transfer his money to his bank account, fully intending to kill both Largo and Malunai afterward.

The live-action series:

  • Complete Monster ("Endgame"): Piotr Grishenko is a fanatical agent of the KGB and former comrade of Georgy Kerensky. After attempting to murder the Russian President, Grishenko resurfaces ten years later to murder his fellow agents and successfully gas Colonel Anja Kopolova's men to death. Eventually, Grishenko reunites the four components of an atomic bomb after killing its respective guardians and attempt to use it to nuke New York.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Carole in "Contessa Vanessa" was Olga Kurylenko's first role.
