  • Bizarro Episode:
    • The 2005 New Years Special. Not only is it quite different from an usual episode, but also previous New Years episodes. After a series of events which results in the gang being arrested, they manage to escape to the sewers under the guise of a magic act, and end up in the "Underground Bucharest" — a community of people who escaped prison and formed an underground monarchy. In the end the Bloc gang reunites at the Bar, and it turns out that Americanu planned it all because Nelu and Costel were complaining about their monotonous lives.
    • "Nelu Președinte" is another strange episode. Nelu wins the presidential election, thanks to the many promises he made to the people; however, he can't afford everything he promised. Hilarity Ensues. It turns out that the whole thing was just Nelu's dream.
    • The episode "Contra TV" in which Nelu, Costel, and the gang make their own television channel to rival PRO TV.
  • Draco in Leather Pants: Popa is a mild example. There are people who feel sorry for him and claim he doesn't deserve the "abuse" he gets from Americanu. However, these people also ignore the fact that Popa himself did a lot of bad things and isn't completley innocent.
  • Fandom Rivalry: With Las Fierbinți. The fans argue over which was the better Pro Tv sitcom.
  • Friendly Fandoms: With Vacanta Mare; both are Pro Tv shows that aired around the same time, shared a rivalry with Las Fierbinți, and featured Dragoș Moștenescu and Emil Mitrache (who play Costel and Americanu in La Bloc).
  • Ho Yay:
    • Nelu and Costel have their moments, such as when Nelu chases Costel after the latter stole the former's drumsticks, and the former accidentally pulling down the latter's pants after catching him on the couch. In one episode they also accidentally enter a gay bar and were not let out. They ended up making out with each other as part of a contest organized by said bar.
    • Americanu and Popa also share several moments. One time Popa even uses it to his advantage in order to make Americanu's girlfriend (who has replaced him) dump her boyfriend.
  • Misaimed Fandom: Nationalists and authoritarians who believe that "Nelu Președinte" promotes their ideology. If anything, "Nelu Președinte" actually mocks people who want a far-right dictatorship in their country.
  • Seasonal Rot: The episodes that take place in the new bloc are considered inferior by the fans.
