• Hilarious in Hindsight: Probably invoked. Intrepid introduces the Abdicators, an Apocalypse Cult convinced that an Alien Invasion will wipe out all human life that doesn't hide itself away. Then Kris discovers the Human Aliens that mean to exterminate all intelligent life that isn't them. The similarity between the two is lampshaded in "Welcome Home/Go Away", suggesting it was intentional.
• More Popular Spin-Off: This is sort of intentional; Mike Moscoe's first series of time travel books alas did not sell well. Thus he went into Military science fiction. His Society of Humanity Series sold about 10k per book. In order to sell more books, he had to write books under his mothers maiden name.
