• Memetic Mutation: Kraven got bitten by a radioactive lion.^ExplanationAfter the first trailer revealed that Kraven gets his powers/abilities after a lion's blood became infused with his, a number of jokes have been made about the "radioactive lion".
• Older Than They Think: Spider-Man: The Animated Series portrayed Kraven as a more heroic character three decades before this movie.
• Squick: At one point in the trailer, during an assault on a group of villains, Kraven tears off the nose of one poor guy before spitting it out towards the camera.
• Tainted by the Preview: While Sony did reignite some interest with the hard-R rating that had been sorely lacking in the Venom and Morbius movies, many were still disappointed that Kraven is apparently yet ANOTHER example of a villain being turned into an Anti-Hero^note which is more of a misconception since both Venom and Morbius are antiheroes in the comics, though the criticism is still valid since Kraven has always been a villain.
