  • Archive Panic: Their discography isn't exactly small as it is (as of May 2023, they're up to thirteen full-lengths, many of which run for over an hour), but if you want to collect all the other projects the four members have been involved in, good luck. All of the band members have been participants in upwards of ten projects each.
  • Awesome Music: Lots of it, especially their original material. Particularly standout tracks include "Forgiveness in Rot", "Intraum", the last two songs on Diotima, and "IIIIIIIIIIII".
  • Epic Riff: For a Black Metal band, they have a lot of really catchy riffs. It definitely helps that all four band members are highly proficient at their respective instruments.
  • Funny Moments: The liner notes for Demonic Wealth contain this gem:
Drums recorded at the Mouth 3 on a phone
Vocals recorded in the car by the swamp
    Bass recorded.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: The synths on "Crystalline Exhaustion". Despite the Metal Screams, the entire song is practically Sweet Dreams Fuel. It sounds like the black metal song Vangelis might've written, had he written one (the Blade Runner soundtrack being a particularly obvious reference). One could easily say the same of the closing of "Arrokoth Trireme".
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Listeners indisposed towards liking Progressive Metal or who think that Black Metal should adhere to Three Chords and the Truth tend to have this reaction. On the other hand, another reaction to their second, third, and fourth albums was It's the Same, Now It Sucks! as some listeners didn't feel like they had evolved enough (while others praised them for their evolution as a band; go figure). Ygg huur and Demonic Wealth definitely averted the latter trope, though.
