- Cliché Storm: "Tears of the Desert" has pretty much every story cliches on an adventure themed story.
- Jerk Ass Woobie: Onion Koongya, though he can be The Woobie.
- The Woobie: Onigiri Koongya. He didn't get satisfied with his new career in the end of the series.
