  • Alternative Character Interpretation: When Strawburry 17 wasn't available, and there was no way to continue the story without her, Zac played Skye. He then proceeded to downplay Skye's more goofy and silly antics and increase her negative aspects, having her come off as The Sociopath and Too Dumb to Live.
  • Funny Moments:
    • While in the past Mallory and Hank come up with pop culture names no one will recognise, Mallory goes with James Bond while Hank chooses Donatello, Mallory isn't sure why but he knows that's a real name, so Hank goes for Splinter. Made funnier by Lucas and Matt cracking up during the bit and by Zac breaking character completely to snark about it.
Zac: At a small break from character, I as the Driver'd like to explain: I like to imagine sometimes what this would look like if transcribed into some sort of script or comic book, and sometimes things are so fucking dumb there's just no possible way the story can justify these actions outside of a tabletop roleplaying session where they can roll to succeed the dumbest things.
    • Hank stealing his candle.
Hank: Can I see if the candle, uh, if I put my jacket sleeve in it, if it starts to burn it?
The Driver: It doesn't. And the flame doesn't hurt your hand, either. Nothing you do seems to alter its course.
Hank: When no one's looking, I want to try to sneak the candle into my pocket. My candle. Into my jeans pocket.
The Driver: (Pauses for a moment while everyone laughs) Hank Butcher...
Hank: And if I have any tokens, I'd like to use my Unassuming to do that.
Zac: (Breaks character while laughing) I hate you!
Mika: You planned this so well.
The Driver: (After a pause to recover) I fell into a trap. (Everyone laughs) Two tokens? Yeah, you had three. Hank Butcher slips the eternity candle into his coat pocket, away from Truth's prying eyes. And no one sees it happen.
    • Two separate instances of the players forgetting/not knowing how phones worked in 1991.
      • From season 1, episode 4...
Billy: Um, real quick, uh, do I have a phone in my bedroom?
The Driver, after an audible sigh: Let's roll for, let's roll for brains. Difficulty of 9. (Billy rolls a 3) Billy Baker has 9 tokens available.
Billy: I think I'll use 6 of 'em.
The Driver: Good for Billy Baker. (pauses as everyone laughs) Billy Baker has a rotary phone in his bedroom.
Billy: Oh shit, but it's probably connected to the same line as the rest of the house.
The Driver: Of course it is, Billy Baker. Did you think you would have a private line?
Lucas, dropping character: The 90's were a long time ago, I don't remember how that shit works!
Zac, also dropping character: It's still the same at the house that we grew up in, remember? If we still pick it up in the basement, we hear our neighbor's phone calls. We lived this life.
Lucas: Is it a separate line, though?
Zac: From the rest of the house?
Lucas: I'm asking in our current story, is it a separate line? If I roll high enough?
The Driver, resuming character: If you roll high enough, Billy Baker, then anything is possible.
Billy, resuming character: I don't even wanna test it.
    • And from season 1, episode 12...
The Driver: We go now to the phone on the other end of the room. Who is it that you are calling?
    Mickey: My dad.
The Driver: He doesn't have a phone.
    Mickey: Oh! Does my mom?
The Driver: What kind of phone do you think they would have in Portland in 1991?
Mickey: When I saw them in Portland, were they in a hotel and did I happen to get the -
The Driver: They were in a hotel.
Mickey: Do I know the name of the hotel so I can call it?
The Driver: I would say that you could focus on the name of that hotel. Knowing the number of that hotel might be quite difficult.
Mickey: Can I see if there's someone to ask if there's like a phone book?
    The Driver: For Portland?
Mickey: Alright then I guess this phone call's gonna have to wait.
The Driver: You could try to outsmart the situation, I will require a brains roll. Difficulty of 13. (Mickey rolls a 16) So walk me through how you figure out this situation. You know the hotel they're staying at in Portland. You have the name, you have the location.
Mickey: Right. But I don't have the number. And there's no Portland phone book. (Andre next to her starts giggling)
The Driver: Do you know how things worked back then? (Andre bursts out laughing)
Shelby, dropping character: Don't laugh at me! No!
Lucas: Just Google it, dude! Just Google it!
The Driver: Maybe you can ask Marcus for some help.
Mickey, resuming character: Hey Marcus, I-
    Marcus: Yes?
    Mickey: Uh, I need help.
Marcus: Don't touch that dial, Skye! What's up?
Mickey: Uh, I need to call my dad and I know what hotel he's staying at, how can I call him?
Marcus: So I'm gonna pick up the phone, I'm gonna dial zero, I'm gonna wait for the operator. (everyone laughing the entire time, even Zac is caught trying to stifle laughter)
Mickey: Who? (camera cuts back to Zac with his head down, laughing, setting everyone off again)
  • Unintentionally Sympathetic: Skye and Marcus treat Sammy as the worst person they ever met, are willing to ignore his earlier attempts to atone for his prior actions and attempts to be useful, and after his memory wipe refuse to even try and reconcile with him. Then when he becomes a minor antagonist, they are absolutely fine with treating him as every other enemy.
