• Blockdog, a papercraft dog that the Kogama devs keep in their office,^note It appears at the 14:32 mark in this video gained some recognition after fanart surfaced of him online.

• Fan Nickname: "Tourist" for Blockboy. ^note Guest players on Kogama are known as "Tourists", and Blocky happens to be the guest avatar. Many players, especially ones who don't know that he's named Blockboy, will just refer to him as "Tourist".
• Friendly Fandoms: With Roblox, mostly among Brazilian players.
• Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Kogama is from Denmark, but is very popular in Brazil, and even has its own separate server for its Brazilian players. There was even a KoGaMa booth at Brazil Game Show 2013. They even had a Blockboy costume made for the event.
• Moe: Blockboy could be considered cute to some people. Just look at him!◊

• Older Than They Think: The mesh used for the spawnpoint blueprints (only visible in the game builder) was that of the avatar from a very early build of the game.
• They Changed It, Now It Sucks!:
  • Some players are unhappy with some of the new block textures, especially since some early textures (such as poison and slime) used to be animated.
  • Some of the preset avatars had their names changed, and some of the new names are considered to be inferior. (The most infamous example being "Bionic Penguin" being changed to simply "Bird")
• Unintentional Uncanny Valley: When Kogama changed it's icon to this◊ in early 2019, several players initially found it a bit creepy, as it shows Blockboy with shaded teeth, which noticeably contrasts to the flat textures on the rest of his design.
