- Heartwarming Moments: Sometimes a stray kitten has to be introduced to a momcat who has her own kittens around the same age. Any time the momcat accepts the newcomer, grooming it and allowing it to nurse, is definitely a CMOH. Another momentous CMOH (which doubled as a Moment of Awesome) was when one momcat, Roux, gave birth to her kittens on a blanket draped over DJ's lap.
- Tear Jerker: Unfortunately, if inevitably for animal-rescue work, there have been a few "sads" in spite of the Academy's policy. For example:
- Anytime a kitten passes away.
- In one instance, a momcat gave birth prematurely to two kittens, and neither lived past a few days.
- The passings of older faculty members, especially Smokey.
