• Awesome Music: Even with what little was shown in the reveal trailer, many fans cited the game's new arrangement of Dearly Beloved as a highlight.
• Epileptic Trees:
  • Due to a riddle hidden in the text of a sign at the 20th Anniversary celebration whose solution was "the voice's identity is Sigurd", fans immediately guessed that the message meant that Sigurd, a character who receives Brain at the very end of Kingdom Hearts χ, was the narrator of the trailer for Missing-Link. Fans also guessed by extension that he might be the narrator of the Kingdom Hearts IV trailer as well.
  • The Stinger of Dark Road has given fans the impression that the Player Character in Missing-Link may potentially be the reincarnation of the Player from χ, after reincarnating into a new body but before they became Xehanort's caretaker.
• Tainted by the Preview: Though the improved graphics and more engaging gameplay were well received in their own right, quite a few fans were put off by the fact this is yet another mobile game containing crucial information for the story of the main console games. Which makes this game yet another prequel, and to top it off, this makes it technically the 5th installment in the Chi saga, which is already a divisive storyline.
