• Alternative Character Interpretation: Some fans have wondered if Bobby really was possessed by the fire ants, or if he deluding himself into thinking he was, especially considering Bobby's original characterization of being a "weird kid."
• Bizarro Episode: The "Bobby is controlled by ant pheromones" subplot is easily the most out-there plot in the show's history.
• Designated Villain: Hank is made out to be something of a bad guy to the guys (Dale's attempts at sabotage non-withstanding) when he dismisses Dale from killing bugs for the welfare of his lawn, but he had a completely good reason to and the worst he did was act a little smug about having a good lawn — mostly to Kahn, who was an unapologetically smug ass about his own lawn.
