The band dealt with it by always playing the song very early in the set, so those fans could hear it and walk out, leaving the rest of the audience who actually cared about King Missile's other songs.
• Misattributed Song: "Detachable Penis" isn't by Flaming Lips, Primus, or Butthole Surfers.
• Signature Song: "Detachable Penis" again: They could be considered a One-Hit Wonder, as it's their only song to make the Billboard charts. Prior to that song they were best known for "Jesus Was Way Cool", which proved popular on college radio and raised their profile enough to get the attention of a major label - John S. Hall subsequently joked that "'Jesus' got me signed to Atlantic Records".
