• Magnificent Bastard:
  • Danny Greene is an immensely charismatic Irishman who claws his way from meager beginnings to become one of the most beloved, yet feared, mobsters in Cleveland. Danny uses manipulation as much as brute force to shove out a corrupt Union boss and take his place, raking in dough as he partners with various crime bosses to form further Unions under their thumbs. Always taking time to be charitable to neighbors, friends and even strangers, Danny is nonetheless ruthless in his endeavors as he assassinates those who snitch on him and is willing to personally brutalize anyone who dares step up to face him. Though eventually taken down by a coalition of mobsters and their top assassin, Danny dies with a smile on his face and a respectful smirk to his killer, going down in history as a community icon.
  • Ray Ferritto is a stylish, ruthless mob hitman sent to finally kill Danny Greene. Ferrito proves himself to be an expert at manipulating people in order to take out Greene's allies, from manipulating one into coming close by pretending to be Greene in order to kill him to faking a truce to lure another so they can be out in the open and killed via a bomb. Ultimately, Ferrito bugs Greene's apartment to learn his future whereabouts and, knowing that Greene will check his car for a bomb, has the bomb planted in the car next to his so he won't notice. Ferrito ends the film tipping his hat to Greene before he kills him as a show of Villain Respect and goes down in history as the man who killed Danny Greene.
