- Awesome Music:
- "You Better Run"
- The opening theme isn't too bad either.
- "Video Romeo"
- Cult Classic: The show has amassed a good-sized cult following, especially among those who watched it as kids.
- Friendly Fandoms: The fandom is on good terms with that of Jem, as both are 1980s cartoons focusing on bands.
- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Kidd Video is massively popular in Saban's home country of Israel. Not only did they get the band's songs on vinyl (the US only got audio cassettes), they received exclusive merchandise not found anywhere else, including a card game, bed sheets, and branded yogurt.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: This wouldn't be the last time the name "Master Blaster" would be used for a villain.
- Ho Yay: Sometimes Ash and Wiz. But then this was The '80s.
- Retroactive Recognition:
- In the Latin American Spanish dub, this is one of the earliest voice acting jobs Salvador Delgado did as Whiz.
- Cathy Cavadini as Glitter, later Blossom of The Powerpuff Girls.
- Pete Renaday as Master Blaster, (not too much) later Splinter from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- Robbie Rist as Whiz, later Michaelangelo of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies and Choji Akimichi of Naruto.
- This Is Your Premise on Drugs: Imagine Yellow Submarine on more acid. Set in the 80's. And occasionally the bad guys try to steal the powers of Lionel Richie or there is a mirror that shows Duran Duran videos or the Pointer Sisters appear inside a magic crystal or something.
