- Breather Boss: Tatsuoki is this, after dealing with Imagawa (see Wake-Up Call Boss entry) He is much more easier to deal with.
- Designated Villain: Some of the opposing Damiyo like Shingen just want to unite the land and bring an end to the Chaos and are never seen doing anything bad. It's just because they fight against Nobunaga that they are considered Villains.
- Fridge Brilliance:
- Pedro was seen holding a Shinobi Katana-type weapon on several cutscenes due to his McNinja status. The thing is, the "Shinobi Katana" in this game greatly resemble a falcata, an ancient sword from the Iberian Peninsula (modern Spain and Portugal).
- Also in the scene where Hisahide blows himself up, it is shown that he does it by stuffing Tea Pots filled with explosives. In Real Life, Nobunaga coveted the Tea Pots he had (He was a collector) and demanded them during his surrender and before he killed himself Hisahide smashed them all.
- Hate Sink: Tatsuoki Saito has zero likable or redeeming traits compared to others such as Shingen and Kenshin. Zero tears will be shed when he is killed in battle
- Once Original, Now Common: When it was released, avoiding the Demon King Nobunaga trope was pretty unique when everyone else were too gung-ho in villifying the man. Years afterwards, it might look nothing special, since there are many others more positive or balanced portrayal of Nobunaga that popped up afterwards.
