YMMV / Kawaiivinny's Minecraft Survivor

Go To

  • Elimination Houdini: UGADawgs222 was targeted by somebody in every tribal council that he went to, surviving four times before his elimination.
    • Season 5's Huffle. While he was not in too much danger of going home, he was in seven Tribal Councils.
    • Season 6's Rachel. She manages to survive two Tribal Councils so far, having been the target of somebody. She wasn't able to survive a third, choosing to sacrifice herself after her performance in the challenge.
    • Thanks to a twist from Season 6, Dawson, DevKyle and Amatsu are this, having been saved due to a fake Tribal Council.
    • Season 6's Vega, who was on the outs and was destined to go next after Episode 2 but kept surviving due to something coming up like the tribe winning a couple of times, Rachel's sacrifice and Kyle being a threat.
    • Also from Season 6 are Toast and Amatsu, who both survived nine Tribal Councils, beating Huffle's record.
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • Everybody from Season 1 became this.
    • Timon 93 was voted "fan favourite" on the Fan Favourite poll in Season 4.
    • Stripytails 777 was the favourite to win in Season 5 and even ended up winning the Fan Favourite poll. Unfortunately, the twist of two previous eliminates returning caused him to end up in 9th instead of 7th.
    • Beccy 89 eventually got a lot of fans to the point where she was asked if she would come back for another season during the season finale's livestream.
    • Radiant_Oblivion, who is, basically, the fan favourite of the series.
    • ToastCrumbley, who won the Fan Favourite and "Who Are You Rooting For To Win?" polls by a landslide in Season 6.
  • Funny Moments: While the series can have funny moments, there are some notable moments.
    • Season 1 had deviouskyle251 using text-to-speech to speak.
    • In Season 6, Kyle's "tonight we dine on roasted duck" vote to Dawson, as well as Dawson's vote to Kyle in the following episode.
    • Aimee "hulk-smashing" Amatsu.
    • Season 6 also had Kait's commentary during the F5 immunity.
    • The Q 'n A section at the Season 6 finale was filled with jokes and laughs.
  • Heartwarming Moments: In Season 1, during the Blue Tribe's first Tribal Council, Papius tells Kawaiivinny that they don't want to vote eachother out because they work so well together. The real heartwarming moment comes after the Tribal Council where SilverSurge and Papius make a memorial to Radiant_Oblivion, who was voted out of said Tribal Council.
In Memory of Kait True Blue Forever
    • After a couple of drama-filled seasons, Season 6 went back to the original notion of "friends coming together to play a game" with no drama or bitterness by the end of the game. It was nice compared to the other 2 seasons that saw loads of drama, with Season 5 even being controversial. Some people have said that this season is what Aimee needed.
  • Memetic Mutation: Amatsu and buttons.
    • "Tonight we dine on roasted duck" and the variations that followed through Season 6.
  • Moment of Awesome: In Season 2, we had SilverSurge breezing through the Hunger Games challenge, killing most of the contestants and winning said challenge.
    • In Season 3, we had AlcoholicRobot becoming the runner-up, making him the only person to ever make it to the finale twice.
    • Also from Season 3, we had deviouskyle251 winning after being the first and second person eliminated in his other two seasons respectively.
    • From Season 6, we had the infamous Tribal Council from Episode 4. After DeviousKyle reveals in the first episode that he thinks the two-time finalist, AlcoholicRobot, is both an asset and a threat, the end of the crazy Tribal Council in episode 4 results in the target, Dawson, using his idol, Timon wasting his idol and DeviousKyle using his special idol to, not only save himself, but to switch to the other tribe. This leaves DeviousKyle's sole vote to AlcoholicRobot, who was promptly eliminated. Bonus points go to the fact that this was foreshadowed in the first episode without them knowing, as well as the fact that Robot mistakenly thought Speedy was "Dawson" and could've tied the vote.
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: Echo's return in Season 5 and eventual position as 2nd runner-up was this. Some people thought Echo returning was unfair due to his Non-Gameplay Elimination.
    • Cmndrsikey, himself, also from Season 5, is this due to him finding the idol pure moments after the Yellow Tribe arrived at their camp. This caused a massive controversy due to suspicions that he was cheating. michael918 had mentioned and accused him of so in the comments when the airing started, although it is unsure and unconfirmed whether Sikey cheated or not.
    • Hufflepufficus, also from Season 5 due to his comments during the airing, which consisted of him trying to explain why he was the villain, as well as some mean comments, which he said was just an act to make himself look more like a villain. Numerous viewers wanted him eliminated.
  • Portmanteau Couple Name: "Cegsie" for Cj and Megsie from Season 4.
    • "Bikey" for cmndrsikey and beccy89 from Season 5.
    • "Roast" for ToastCrumbley and EpicFailTeen (Rachel) from Season 6
    • "Atoastsu/Tomatsu" for ToastCrumbley and Amatsu, also from Season 6
  • Shipping: "Cegsie" for Cj and Megsie from Season 4.
  • Shocking Elimination: In Season 1, Nemui's elimination was this to, not just the audience, but to the tribe itself. Both Robot and Hystrix were confused as to how Nemui got eliminated.
    • In Season 6, some viewers were shocked to see EnderSean eliminated first, messaging contestants asking why they did eliminate him.
    • In Season 6, we had AlcoholicRobot's elimination in Episode 4 as the result of the craziest Tribal Council in the series. He would be eliminated by a stray vote cast by DeviousKyle.
    • Also from Season 6, we have Timon's elimination at the Final 5. To some viewers, this was not expected at all.
  • The Woobie: Radiant_Oblivion from Season 2. She was betrayed by SilverSurge, sent to Isolation Island the most and, at Isolation Island, had a massively rough time trying to complete the island's puzzle to get the Hidden Immunity Idol after numerous times being sent there.
    • Michael 918 from Season 5. After his interview, he had no chance on getting far and was told, after his tribe lost the first immunity challenge, that, unless he found the idol, he was going home.
    • Blockie from Season 6. In his boot episode, he would be accused for sabotaging the 2nd immunity and would be eliminated that episode with an idol in his inventory.
    • Dawson, also from Season 6. Timon made it his mission to get him out. In Episode 3, after trying to become a chessmaster, he didn't realize that he was still on the outs and was majorly blindsided by the one person he put all of his trust in. Even though it was a Fake Tribal Council, he walked out of the council room knowing that he would still be the lowest on the totem pole. After Episode 4, his woobie status becomes subverted as he held all of the power in his tribe, unintentionally.
    • Rachel, aaalso from Season 6. Aside from losing her idol, she was never safe during the game. Her elimination would come at the cost of poor scheduling on her end as well as costing her team to lose unintentionally. She would then tell everybody to vote her out.
    • Vega, aaaaaaalso from Season 6. He lost his closest ally after another ally backstabbed the alliance. He would then come to realize that he was destined to lose but would try and fight. However, he lost all influence in the game, unable to convince people of anything but managed to gain access into the tribe's main alliance but would then be eliminated the following episode when Amatsu chose to keep Toast over him.
    • Arguably, Gamer, who went throughout the entire game without backstabbing anybody and playing the closest "hero" game out of any finalist but lost because of his "lack of moves", while also being called "Dawson's lap dog" by one juror.
