YMMV / Kasabian

Go To

  • Americans Hate Tingle: Despite rave reviews and six of their seven albums hitting #1 in their native UK (Their debut still hit #4), They never had a Top 40 album across the Pond.
  • Awesome Music: "Club Foot", "Processed Beat", "L.S.F.", "Cutt Off" and "eez-eh".
  • Broken Base: 48:13. This is the lowest received Kasabian album to date (though Metacritic gives it a still passing 62). Fans are split on whether it's still a good album following the coattails of too many great ones in succession or whether it's an utter travesty of noise and psychedelia that couldn't figure out what it wanted to be.
  • Epic Riff: It doesn't come in until about halfway through the song, but the main riff of 'Fire' is extremely recognisable.
    • Even more recognisable, to the point where most people would identify the song with the riff, is the riff from "Club Foot"
    • "Vlad the Impaler" is also known for its epic riff.
    • "Switchblade Smiles", likewise, is quite distinctive for its bass track.
    • "Empire" starts with a pretty cool bass riff, then in comes a really recognisable chorus riff.
  • Even Better Sequel: For each of the first four albums, each was better received than the last.
  • Moment of Awesome:
    • The title track from Empire.
    • "Club Foot", "Butcher Blues" and "L.S.F." from Kasabian.
    • "Bumblebeee" from 48:13.
    • Velociraptor! in its entirety.
    • Headlining Glastonbury in 2014. How awesome is it? 10 years previously the band was one of the minor opening acts, with a new album and still mostly unknown. In a decade they conquered the music scene.
