YMMV / Kamen Rider Heisei Generations Forever

Go To

  • Complete Monster: Tid/Another Kuuga is a Time Jacker who attempts to conquer the world by completely eradicating the history of the Heisei Riders, taking the young child Shingo who exists as a singularity point in time–-thus keeping the Kamen Riders existent in the world–-and sealing him away forever to destroy their timelines and render them as nothing more than fiction in his world. Attempting to brainwash the heroes and trying to murder Shingo's own brother, Tid eventually raises a tower in the middle of a large city and has monsters wreak wanton havoc all throughout the city, eventually assuming his form as Another Ultimate Kuuga and vaporizing swathes of innocents himself. Tid attempts to annihilate everything that lives in the throes of his breakdown, including an attempt to invoke the Ultimate Darkness, declaring he alone "deserves to smile".
  • Fan-Preferred Cut Content: Another Double's role in the finished film amounts to little more than a powerful enemy the heroes have to defeat. However, Shirakura revealed his surprisingly tragic backstory in 2023 in a Twitter post: he was once a Kamen Rider fan, but grew to hate the franchise after the 2011 Tohoku earthquakes and believed that heroes who couldn't do anything in the real world did not deserve to be celebrated. While it's understandable that his backstory might have been cut for being too dark, many fans nonetheless found it quite interesting and wished it did make its way into the film.
  • Harsher in Hindsight: Sougo botching Double's catchphrase and Another Double angrily correcting him for it appeared to be a lighthearted Mythology Gag. However, after Another Double's backstory of being a former Kamen Rider fan who became disillusioned after the 2011 Tohoku earthquakes was revealed, it makes Sougo come off as Innocently Insensitive by disrespecting the last Rider series Another Double was able to properly enjoy.
  • Heartwarming in Hindsight: As if Sento helping Sougo out of his existential crisis over being a fictional character wasn't enough already, Kamen Rider Saber + Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger Super Hero Senki would show that even Takeshi Hongo was apparently close with his own creator Shotaro Ishinomori, expressing how much he had missed him.
  • Special Effect Failure: Kuuga finishing off Tid with his Rider Kick is very obviously CGI that it doesn't mesh well with the rest of the scene, making it come off as a bit jarring.
