- Broken Base: Kamen Rider 1's new, bulkier look. Many prefer the slimmer look over the new bulkier one, but many ended warm up to the new one, especially after the film came out.
- Funny Moments: The conflict between the old Shocker and Nova Shocker is depicted by an argument in a bar between two salarymen who communicate only in the trademark "Eiii!" of the Shocker mooks. The argument soon turns physical when the two men ditch their suits to reveal they are a Shocker and a Nova Shocker mook respectively, engaging in a slapping match as the bartender and other patrons watch in shock, with even the fish in a nearby tank darting into hiding. Bonus points for the old Shocker mook feigning an injury which causes the Nova Shocker mook to show genuine concern only for the old Shocker mook to quickly drop the act and resume the slapping match.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Seeing a dying Ambassador Hell pleading one final duel against Hongo before he passes away comes off as saddening with his actor Ren Osugi passing away two years later due to a heart attack.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- An aging superhero on one last ride with a young girl in tow, you say?
- Rider #1 dies and is resurrected like Kamen Rider BLACK, Fourze, Gaim, Drive, and Ghost. As it turns out, Kamen Rider Ghost seems to have killed this trend due to a good chunk of people just being sick of it...and may have ultimately ended here with the original.
