• Angst? What Angst?: For someone who was just robbed blind, Melanie seems to adjust to her circumstance pretty quickly by the movie's end.
• Moral Event Horizon: When exactly Old Dolio's parents cross it is up for debate. They are the only ones with no reservations against stealing from the elderly, despite Dolio and Melanie's growing discomfort. They also try to exchange Sex for Services from Melanie when it appears she's lost her usefulness to them. Theresa's inability to refer to her daughter as "hon" is also extremely petty, but if neither of them crossed the line at any of those points, they've surely crossed it by the end when they rob Melanie of every single possession in her apartment.
