• Americans Hate Tingle:
  • When reacting to the Teens React episode made on him, JJ notes that "literally no Americans know [him]", based on how everyone in the video said no when asked if they knew him. A later Teens React video on his then-upcoming fight with Logan Paul has proven KSI wrong, however, although it's only because he has since grown in popularity internationally (as well as because a lot of people wanted to see him punch Paul in the face).
  • Almost entirely subverted by his rematch with Logan. Not only did the majority of the UK side with him, even the number of people in the US who supported him slightly outweighed those who didn't.
• Awesome Ego: He's arrogant, alright, but at the same time he backs up his claims and has a huge majority of achievements to prove it.
• Awesome Music:
  • "GET HYPER" by Droideka. If it wasn't for KSI, the song wouldn't have been as successful as it was.
  • "Still Speedin'" by Sway, a song that he uses in some of his videos usually after winning something in FIFA.
  • "No Sleep" by Sway ft. KSI HIMSELF!!
  • "Sweaty Goals", another song KSI collabs on.
  • KSI slapping Deji in slow-motion doesn't sound all that cool. But with dubstep in the background?
  • "Double the Trouble" is another song KSI slaps Deji to.
  • "Friends With Benefits" is a song even Simon admits to liking.
  • For his comeback, "Creature".
• Broken Base:
  • After gaining 1,000,000 subscribers on YouTube (and then 2,000,000 soon after), some viewers think that KSI doesn't care about them as he is either on another channel completely, he uploads videos that, supposedly, he puts no effort into, or he doesn't upload as much FIFA as he used to. Some viewers just find him much more annoying than he was in 2011/early 2012. Most people love the way he is now though.
  • Then later not playing non-FIFA games on a regular basis anymore and neglecting his secondary channel, then coming back after a few months without updating it to say that he is probably going to convert it to a vlog channel (which didn't happen and went on for a couple more months hiatus before a new gameplay video came up).
  • There was also the issue of whether or not KSI should still be considered a Sideman, since he apparently doesn't play games with them outside of FIFA as much. This had mostly turned around in August 2015, as KSI has begun playing GTA and other random games with the Sidemen on a regular basis once again, and now updates his secondary channel frequently. Two years later, however, he would leave the group... only to come back within weeks. This eventually subsided for good when the group started making regular weekly videos for Saturdays and Sundays, with KSI contributing just as much to the videos as the rest.
  • His music. It falls quite finely into the divisive category with his fans, and besides the memes and Running Gags putting down JJ for pursuing a music career (or more specifically a rap career), there is a genuine vocal hatedom in the comments of his music videos.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Oh yes. He makes a lot of dark topics and serious political issues look like a slapstick comedy.

• Fridge Brilliance:
  • In his "I GOT PISSED ON" video, when one of his questions says "Come at me broooo", we see him masturbating. He then says, "I'm cumming."^note Get it? "CUM at me bro"?
  • Another asked him and Gudjondaniel to do Heskey's face. KSI drops a picture of Heskey on the floor and he and Gudjon hit it with giant dildos. Therefore, they did his face.
• Growing the Beard: "Lamborghini" has been said to have many improvements over JJ's verses on "No Sleep" and "Mac 10 Flow", and arguably more so with his full EP.
• He Really Can Act:
  • Though he wasn't taken too seriously beforehand when it comes to acting due to the negative reception of his Laid in America movie, the personas he puts on in Sidemen videos like Babatunde and Folabi have garnered widespread acclaim for being so genuinely entertaining and hilarious to watch.
  • During one of his guest appearances in WWE, he gets knocked out by an RKO by Randy Orton. Both his own fans and wrestling fans were impressed by how well he sold that RKO better than even actual wrestlers.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: In one of his Q&A videos, KSI gets a question about what he'd do if he walked in on his girlfriend cheating on him with Deji. Gets a lot more amusing later on when JJ started going out with Seana.
  • Deji even made note of it.◊
  • JJ always screaming MATT DAMON is a Running Gag with the Sidemen. Well, JJ finally gets to interview the man himself!
  • During his first press conference with Weller, he mocks him for making a song about a cat. One year later, he makes a song about Beerus, a cat.
• Memetic Loser: His subreddit loves clowning on YouTubers who challenge him and fail spectacularly.
  • Logan Paul after losing his fight with JJ. Memes include his lame excuse for losing the fight (sneezing three times) and believing he didn’t lose the fight.
  • Daniel Inwosu, better known as the rapper Dax, for challenging him to a fight and then backing out and ghosting when it comes to actually taking him head on. There's also his incredibly lame but memetic catchphrase "IT'S DAX" and constantly reminding his listeners that he was once a janitor in almost every song he makes.
  • Alex Burriss, or better known as Alex Wassabi in the online community, for backing out of his fight with KSI and rooting for Logan Paul in both matches and losing money in both bets. Even more so when he embarrassingly lost against Fousey Tube in one blow after spending the majority of the match winning against him.
  • Even his brother Deji is not safe. After Deji released a video against JJ titled "bye", JJ’s response video left fans making memes about Deji's lies.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • The rape face.

  • KSI's chimpanzee screams (warning: video contains earrape) ^ExplanationKSI's playthrough of Erie has him screaming alongside Deji whenever he encounters the monster. Memes involving this are often used to express extreme displeasure at something.
  • YES! YES! YES! NO! NO! NO!^ExplanationFrom KSI's playthrough of Jump King, this comes from a difficult jump he has to make, causing him to repeat "Yes!"... only to fail the next jump and lose progress, which has him repeat "No!". Often used to express joy at something that's taken away quickly.
• Most Wonderful Sound: The siren that sounds during a "Top 5 Goals" video that lets everybody know it's HESKEY TIIIIIIIME!
• Never Live It Down: KSI's rather undesirable actions at Eurogamer Expo 2012, which got him banned from all the company's events for life, although it's become more of a minor black mark to his overall career as time passed by, as he since formed the Sidemen (which became a very popular group), cleaned up his act a bit, and even started his own events with his groupmates. That being said, he does not look back at his past behaviour fondly.
• Surprisingly Improved Sequel: KSI's professional boxing rematch against Logan Paul was much better received than the first match, with those in the boxing industry even stating that they've shown better professionalism and fighting ability^note save for Paul's cheap shot on KSI's occiput (back of the head) that got him deducted two points than before (although they were still sloppy compared to the professionals on the undercard).
