YMMV / Joe Dever's Lone Wolf

• Narm: The Gourgaz enemies give off a smell that can buff Giaks fighting alongside them. This is in keeping with the lore from the books. It's just the way they do this in the game, turning their back to Lone Wolf and waving their tails around, releasing clouds of gas, makes it look like their farts strengthen their buddies...
• The Scrappy: Leandra. A large part of the story is Lone Wolf trying to fix her screwups. She treats him like crap whenever they meet (even trying to hit him at one point), and rarely does anything useful. It's a bit satisfying when her father remonstrates her for all the shit she gives Lone Wolf, who is not just their local nobleman but someone busting his ass to fix a disaster she is responsible for.
• Spoiled by the Format: Probably unavoidable when setting something early in the timeline of such a long-running series. Late in the game for instance Lone Wolf's defeated and loses the Sommerswerd, and he fears that the villains will find a way to destroy it before he can recover it. Fans of the books will figure out easily that this will only happen if Lone Wolf is killed (in which case it doesn't matter if the Sommerswerd's destroyed, because the only people who can use it will officially be extinct).
