YMMV / Jimmy Neutron vs. Jimmy Negatron

Go To

  • Breather Level: The final section of the "Get Negatron" stage. After chasing Negatron through various time periods, the player is sent to the Neutron house, a very small area with no enemies or platforming. You can explore for some collectables, but there's no challenge of any sort and the exit is right next to Jimmy's starting point.
  • Goddamned Bats: The mummy-bots in the Egypt level aren't particularly threatening, but end up being fairly annoying to take out since you have to shoot each one twice in a row, with the first hit causing them to run away in fear. If you aren't fast enough to hit them a second time, or your shots are blocked by the other bots swarming you, they recover and come at you once again.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: The TV show would revisit the idea of an Evil Counterpart to Jimmy named, appropriately enough, Evil Jimmy.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • "Jimmy Niggatron", due to how fans mishear the villain's name.
    • In a similar vein, "Jimmy Megatron".
  • Most Wonderful Sound: As in the show, Brain Blast!
  • Narm: The ending of the game, which is a simple "you win!" screen with no music or any fanfare whatsoever, making it look jarringly like the ending to a flash game rather than a full retail game that it's supposed to be.
  • That One Level: The museum's Egypt exhibit is longer than just about anything else in the game, featuring a repetitive enemy gauntlet, a frustrating water-changing puzzle (a la the Water Temple and Aquatic Mine), and loads of platforming that Jimmy's rather stiff controls just aren't built to handle. Especially egregious considering it was the level used in the demo disc hound inside Puffs tissue boxes.
