  • Heartwarming Moment: "Because You Live".
    "Because you live, girl
    My world
Has everything I need to survive..."
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • In 2004 and 2006, he did Disneymania covers of "The Second Star to the Right", from Peter Pan, and "I'll Try", from the sequel Return To Never Land. Two years later, he was voicing a fairy alongside Tinker Bell. "I'll Try" was even included in the Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure OST.
    • And in 2009 he played another character who ran into Tinker Bell.
    • He also voiced Ventus in Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep a year later, who also goes to Neverland in said game.
    • Dream Street was originally called Boy Wonder. McCartney later played the original Robin, the Boy Wonder in Young Justice.
  • He Really Can Act:
    • Many were surprised by his impressive voice work as Roxas and Ventus.
    • His work as Robin/Nightwing as well. For all that he's playing a very modernized take on a character who's pretty much always a fan favorite, he does really well balancing Dick's snark and silliness right alongside his drive, determination, and the fact that he was trained by Batman.
    • He once starred in a Funny or Die skit with him playing as himself, and two characters consisting of an agent that wants to make his popularity increase by giving him an asshole streak, and an assistant who Jesse pelts with scones. The fact that he made it look like he's talking to two different people is definitely an impressive example of his acting skills.
  • Signature Song: In his Teen Idol days, he was known mostly for just "Beautiful Soul". "Leavin'" was his biggest hit overall, but that was after he grew up. He was also the cowriter for Leona Lewis's signature song "Bleeding Love" and recorded a demo of it.
  • Tear Jerker: When you read between the lines of some of the lyrics of "Because You Live", it becomes more emotional than it already was.
"It's the end of the world in my mind"
    "It's alright... I survived... I'm alive again"
"'Cause of you made it through every storm"
"Someone who was there when all my hopes fell"
    "Because you live... I live"
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Jesse was a preteen and teen sensation in the 2000s with songs like "Beautiful Soul" and "Because You Live". On the same album as "Right Where You Want Me", there are songs like "Daddy's Little Girl" (which is about a girl who recently turned 18 and wants to experience "adult things" now). It doesn't help matters that his songs were frequently played on Radio Disney and that he starred in several kid-oriented projects (such as the Tinker Bell and Alvin and the Chipmunks movies).
    • "How Do You Sleep?" was a hit on Radio Disney and was covered by Kidz Bop despite the album and extremely sexual nature of its lyrics. Most of his stuff is pretty sexual actually, at least on his second and third albums.
    • Similarly, "Right Where You Want Me" was somehow allowed to remain unedited on multiple Disney-related stations. For example...
"Baby don't be gentle, I can handle anything"
"I'm gonna let you have your way with me"
