  • Aluminium Christmas Trees:
    • As ridiculous as the "Swing Wing" seems to be as a toy, it is a real product.
    • The Komrad Krunch whistle that lets Polyblank hack into the phone system is based on a real incident where a Cap'n Crunch whistle was used to fool AT&T's computerized phone system into granting access to outside lines. It was mostly used to make free calls.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment:
    • Many to bring up, but particular mention has to go to the "pizza zombies" area, accessed by opening a laptop shaped like a pizza box, then wandering down a lonely road of pizza slaughtering pizza zombies, then walking up to a typewriter degrading into the word "pizza". The whole room then comes to life cackling at you. One Record Needle Scratch later, and the player is back in the level.
    • After retrieving the artificial kidney, the player lights some incense and rings a gong at a Buddhist temple. The strangest part is that it's a rare moment in the game where nothing is played for comedy.
    • The following briefing has the Director's office slowly filling with water, complete with a squid swimming around. The Director doesn't react to this in any way, and the office looks relatively normal (well, as normal as anything can look in this game at any rate) the next time you return there.
    • And then at the end, there's the random jungle that appears in the Director's digestive system.
  • Quirky Work: The intro alone will have you questioning whether or not it was made on drugs, and it only gets weirder from there.
