• Awesome Music: Rebecca Drysdale's It Gets Better music video. (NSFW language.) Has a safe for work version. (Which is extremely funny.)
• Critical Dissonance: There has been backlash from people who are not celebrities about how the project is just full of empty words, does nothing to actually support teens aside from telling them to wait. Add in all the YMMV stuff from Dan Savage and the fact that, for a good deal of the members of the LGBT community (queer people of color, people living in prejudiced regions), it doesn't actually get better, meaning it is a positive message for a small subset of the LGBT community (cisgendered white gays and lesbians, who live or can one day move to more inclusive, welcoming places).
• Funny Moments:
  • You can't punish sodomy under Islamic law without eight witnesses!
  • Again, George Takei calling Clint McCance a douchebag.
• Heartwarming Moments: Too many videos to list.
  • The Google Chrome/YouTube compilation video deserves special mention.
  • As does this video featuring a man and his adopted son.
• Moment of Awesome:
  • The whole project is one for Dan Savage. He's been a respected writer for years, but this is by far the most significant act of his career, possibly saving lives.
  • A homophobic (former) school board member in Arkansas very callously advocates LBGTs killing themselves. He then gets called a douchebag. By George Takei.
• Tear Jerker: So many videos, especially those who committed suicide some time after filming theirs.
