• Complete Monster: Harry Josephs — a calculating psychopath who takes an almost-childlike glee in committing acts of murder. He masterminded the plot to kill Simon Pawlen, which he also used to fake his own death — following which he took advantage of the situation to murder everyone who he felt wronged him — garrotting Paul Morris (his wife's lover), beating Paul's 12-year-old son to death for no other reason than he could, and then strangling his wife. He may also be responsible for the death of the vicar (although he claims it was suicide). To remove the last person who knows the truth, Josephs attempted to kill Ruth, his lover. Foiled, he lures Inspector Morse to the top of the church tower and nearly strangles Morse, before finally killing himself. With at least four kills, he's responsible for the highest body-count in the show.
