• Angst? What Angst?: Koji seems pretty cheerful despite what happened to him in the cemetery story.
• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • A lot of them but Koji, Juu, Ruri, Ashido and Chovek stand out.
  • The Nikitak are an entire species of them, with Koji being the best example. There's more Nikitak-based merchandise than any other species, Nikitaks were the only species to get plush toys made of them, Ro has the most merchandise out of all of the major characters, and (if you go on the artist's main art accounts) there's far more art that involves Nikitaks and Nikitak fan characters than any other species.
• Misaimed Fandom:
  • Certain readers regarding Soshika's racism against humans as an admirable trait. Largely resolved by direct intervention from the creator here.
  • A great majority of the fans like the comic more for the Nikitak species than the comic itself.
