• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Jade and Obsidian are the ones who interact the most with Roy Harper, to the point that Obsidian is the one who frees Roy from the Black Ring and thus Darkseid's control by reaching out to him. While Jade references her time on the Outsiders with Roy, and Obsidian also suffered through a villain period like Roy did, fans have pointed out that Joshua Williamson ignored how Damage historically had a much deeper connection with Roy (such as how Roy and Lian helped him address his childhood sexual trauma at his foster dad's hands) and had also been turned into a Black Lantern, meaning he would've been better suited to be the one to help Roy.
