  • Heartwarming Moments:
    • Soo Ha's unwavering love for Hye Sung throughout the series definitely counts. He has seen the worst of her, and even after being hurt by her on multiple occasions, each time he accepts her the way she is, telling her that even if she hurts him, he'll always be there for her as her thoughts can't really hurt him. He knows about and understands love better than most adults do. Poignant and heartwarming at the same time.
    • Hye Sung growing to care for Soo Ha counts too. Having been alone for most of his life, this is the first time in years that he met someone who genuinely cares for his well-being, and it definitely shows.
  • Iron Woobie: Soo Ha, oh god, Soo Ha. As if his horrible past and the ability wasn't already enough, add to everything the fact that he's a Love Martyr for Hye Sung, who continues to hurt him in the beginning few episodes, despite all the things he does for her the sake of her safety. To the point that he even resolves to throw himself under the bus just to protect her.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • Soo Ha's past in general. Losing both his parents at such a young age, abandoned by his uncle, and stuck with the ability to read people's minds. Not even a single family member who actually cares for him, he doesn't even have any friends he can truly rely on, or call a 'true friend'. He's just so... alone.
    • Hye Sung's mother's death.
    • Soo Ha's goodbye at the end of episode 8. One can just tell from that bittersweet smile on his face, that how much it hurts him to leave her side. Add to that the fact that he's doing all this after having resolved to literally throw his life away for Hye Sung's sake. Yes, he loves her that much.
  • Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Regardless of her past, Hye Sung comes off as really bitchy in the earlier episodes. Thankfully, she gets better with time and with Soo Ha impacting her life in a positive manner.
  • The Woobie:
    • Hye Sung has her moments.
    • Do Hyeon in the later episodes.
