- Ensemble Dark Horse: The unnamed old keyboardist lady providing the music of "Modern Day Cain" and "Nobody Likes The Opening Band" has no outstanding significance placed on her, yet many fans love her anyways, even wishing that she become an official part of the band.Dallon: From time to time, we have a keyboardist, but she's very old and frail, and she can't always travel with us because she's a convicted felon, so it's complicated.
- Epileptic Trees:
- While Dallon has generally dodged around confirming or denying it, it's a common theory among fans that several of the band's more pointed songs are directed towards his former band Panic! at the Disco, largely based off the under-wraps nature of why he left to begin with, as well as IDKHow's propensity to parallel and invert certain topics addressed by Panic!, or otherwise reference it in a suspicious way (such as burning his Panic! suits in the "Do It All the Time" video).
- A somewhat more likely theory is that "Leave Me Alone" was made in part to address Zack Hall, Brendon Urie/Panic!'s security guard who not only had a public history of bullying Dallon while in the band, but would also be ousted for sexually harassing fans and close personnel, including Dallon's wife.
- Funny Moments: There's already some Black Comedy to be had from the sheer Lyrical Dissonance of "Choke," but the duo's Rooftop Riot performance of the song, where they turn it into a cute, toe-tappingly jaunty version on a baritone ukulele shoots it straight up to eleven.I wouldn't hesitaaaaate, to smile while you suffocate and diiiiiie (Die, die, die~!)
- Heartwarming Moments: "Need You Here" is a song made in dedication to Dallon's kids, half an apology for travelling so often for his job, but a heartfelt reminder that he'll always come back for them. His daughter, Amelie, even sings part of the second verse!
- What Do You Mean, It's Not Political?: The Title Track of Razzmatazz continues in the album's themes of disillusionment from celebrity culture, but also uses anti-authoritarian terminology throughout the lyrics, including "parliaments filled with parasites," and "in a fascist little paradox / we all become anonymous." Part of a metaphor, or an additional layer of political commentary? You make the call.
