• Aluminum Christmas Trees: In the "Hollywood" section, it notes how RKO Radio Pictures was "bought by tire company" as the sign it was on the decline. This actually happened- in 1955, after Howard Hughes drove RKO into the ground, he fled and sold what little remained of RKO to the General Tire and Rubber Company, who then proceeded to refocus it by merging RKO into their broadcasting holding to form RKO General (which began to be dismantled in the late 80s after years of corruption and lying to the government).
